Believed to be the birthplace of Christianity in the UK, Glastonbury Abbey ruins draws thousands of visitors every year, the iconic Glastonbury Tor with the tower of St Michael is an inspirational location of immediate recognition.
Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are geological wonders and the caverns are some of the finest accessible natural limestone tunnels in the UK. Ancient market towns that still hold weekly traders markets, the Bishop of Bath's Palace and Cathedral in England's smallest city, Wells, is certainly worthy of a stop with its selection of independent traders and their artisan offering.
