Spring Touring

4/5/2026

Spring is well underway and ESW Tours has been literally everywhere, already!
Areas of touring thus far, since mid March when our season started, have included,
Peak District and the Midlands with its music scene and iconic venues,
The Cotswolds villages in early flower blooms pre seasonal busy crowds,
North Devon's wild and majestic coastline, quaint waterfront villages as well as the rolling Exmoor moorland,
Dartmoor (many times) covering topics including Bronze Age sites, Baskerville inspirations, folklore and hauntings as well as the expansive landscape,
South Devon on the murder mystery solving trail of the great Dame Agatha Christie across the English Riviera,
Cornwall in all areas, along the rugged north coast,  the Atlantic facing Penwith peninsula, the quiet and secret coves of south Cornwall with Poldark filming connections and the grand gardens in full spring explosive bloom including Heligan and Trellisick.

Guest "knockout" highlights were The Minack Theatre overlooking Porthcurno beach, a sight to behold, the Rhoddi blooms at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the large crashing waves at Cape Cornwall along the cliffs to Lands End and the sweeping emptiness and peacefulness of Dartmoor National Park. As well as these the cliffs at Hartland Quay and Valley of Rocks in North Devon have also wowed my guests from all over the world, so did the length of the Jurassic Coast on multiple tours along its length.

In all, a very busy start to the season. A season us guides were, and still are, concerned about in relation to international travel with global politics and the uncertainty of the travel programs at present.
It has been a reassuring start to what could have been a troublesome touring season.
Let's hope the trend continues, one of defiant travel in the face of political negativity. Determined international guests who are more interested in experiencing culture, history and enjoying their lives rather than stewing over the "what if" notions.
That quote, "One Life, Live It" seems all the more relevant in recent times.

Looking forward to a fairly busy May (Still some availability so do get in touch!) and an almost fully booked June soon also.

Some photos from March and April tours,

There is still plenty of availability for tours in May and also throughout July and into August. Please do get in touch and enquire to see if we can fulfill your touring requests and assist on itinerary design, locational interest suggestions as well as recommending accommodation for your stay in the regions we cover.
Please head to the contact us page to reach out and begin your adventure planning....
