A Real Experience Devon Tour
Half a day on Dartmoor, the other half at the coast.
Explore Dartmoor National Park in the morning, or afternoon and
visit the South Devon Coast in the other, (logistics to suit).
Locations such as Postbridge, Merrivale, Whiteworks and
maybe Grimspound to fill your imagination with
Dartmoor's ancient past.
A classic Inn for a hearty lunch, then onto the coast for tales of Pirates, seafarers and fisherman in places such as
Brixham and Dartmouth then onto Start Bay with its WW2 history.
Or, maybe a stroll along the promenade in Torquay where one Agatha Christie once roller skated or a visit to an old thatched village.
Alternatively, by heading west from Dartmoor we visit the ocean city of Plymouth where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the new land.
Locations include the old Barbican with its narrow winding streets as well as the Mayflower Steps where the vessel sailed from and a walk
along Plymouth waterfront up to Smeatons Tower lighthouse on
Plymouth Hoe to finish the day.
